Age Calculator

Find your exact age in years, months, and days from your birth date.

Enter your date of birth to see your age.

This age calculator turns a date of birth into an exact age broken down into years, months, and days. It also shows the total number of days you have been alive and counts down the days to your next birthday, all updating the moment you pick a date.

You can change the reference date to work out how old someone was, or will be, on any given day — handy for eligibility checks, anniversaries, and paperwork. Everything is calculated in your browser, so no birth dates are ever uploaded or stored.

How to use

  1. Pick your date of birth in the first field using the date picker.
  2. Leave the reference date set to today, or change it to calculate age on any other day.
  3. Read your exact age shown as years, months, and days.
  4. Check the total days lived and how many days remain until the next birthday.

FAQ

How is the age in months and days worked out?
The calculator counts full years first, then the remaining whole months, then the leftover days, accounting for the differing lengths of each month so the result matches how age is normally stated.
Does it handle leap years?
Yes. Day counts use the real calendar, so February 29 and leap years are included when measuring total days and the gap to your next birthday.
Can I calculate age on a past or future date?
Yes. Change the reference date to any day and the age is recalculated as of that date, which is useful for checking how old someone was at an event.
Why do I need to enter a reference date?
By default it is set to today so you get your current age, but you can override it to measure age at a specific moment in the past or future.
Is my birth date sent anywhere?
No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Your date of birth is never transmitted, saved, or shared.
